Anatomising and creating specimens is an attempt to understand the unknown, while seeking knowledge about life through the destruction of life itself.
Artificial nature is not just a change in scenery. Growing up surrounded by various household appliances and technological objects was similar to a botanist or zoologist facing a natural world filled with countless unknown entities. Within them, there is a constant allure of energy and operational mechanisms that compel us to peer inward.
We once possessed knowledge and skills related to these technological objects, but they have become fragmented due to rapid consumption. Could our fear of objects that increasingly resemble us stem from our own deprivation?
“Open up a few corpses, and see what is inside?”
